This vegan pink sauce recipe is a copycat version of the viral Tiktok infamous pink sauce that everybody is talking about...wondering about... My pink sauce is made vegan with cashews and includes dragon fruit and ranch dressing seasonings that make for a creamy, sweet, and tangy dipping sauce.

Equipment

  • high-speed blender

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cashews raw, soaked
  • 3/4 cup plant milk unsweetened
  • cup dragon fruit see notes
  • 1 Tablespoon white vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 1-2 teaspoons maple syrup optional see notes
  • 1 clove garlic
  • ¾ teaspoons salt
  • ½-1 teaspoon chili powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 Tablespoon fresh dill
  • ½ Tablespoon chopped chives
  • ½ Tablespoon chopped parsley
  • pinch of black pepper

Instructions

  • Soak the raw cashews in hot water for 30 minutes. Drain and throw out the water. If the cashews are a little older, you might need to soak them for up to two hours.
  • Cut the dragon fruit in half and scoop out pieces to equal ⅔ cup. Peel the garlic clove. There is no need to chop. Chop the fresh herbs and set them aside.
  • Add all ingredients except for the maple syrup, dill, parsley, and chives to a high-speed blender. Add the soaked and drained cashews, plant milk, dragon fruit, vinegar, lemon juice, garlic clove, salt, chili powder, onion powder, and a pinch of pepper.
  • Blend for 2-3 minutes or until creamy and smooth.
  • Taste the blended sauce and decide how much maple syrup you'd like to add.
  • Add dill, parsley, and chives at the end and then stir or blend on low speed just until incorporated.
  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Will thicken upon standing

Notes

You must disclose that this pink ranch sauce contains nuts if you serve it to others. Nuts normally aren't found in ranch sauce.  If you send this to school with your child as a dipping sauce, you must inform them of the dangers of sharing their food and forbid them to share it with anyone.
If you want an actual pink sauce, you will need to use red fleshed dragonfruit. Dragonfruit comes in red flesh and creamy white flesh. If you use white-fleshed dragon fruit then you can always use a little pink/red food coloring.
Wait until you taste your blended sauce to decide if you want to add the maple syrup or not. The original pink sauce includes honey as an ingredient. This recipe calls for maple syrup (you can also use agave). As with all fruits in nature, some -even the same types of fruits -  will be sweeter than others. Start with one teaspoon and add more if you think the sauce needs it.
