Banana Toast

Okay this is a seriously easy “recipe” which is why this is under the Quick and Easy section. Breakfast seems to be the challenging meal for brand new plant eaters. Eggs are off the table. Milk-containing products are no more. A new plant eater wonders what there is to eat besides oatmeal. I do love oatmeal but honestly haven’t had a bowl in a very long time!

Really new plant eaters, just wait. After a while you just start to think of food as food and you don’t worry about the time of day you are eating it. For breakfast I might eat leftover dinner. I might eat a baked potato with my Vegan Chili Cheese Sauce. I might dip some carrot sticks in hummus. OR I might make some quick and easy banana toast!

Find a compliant bread that makes you happy. Dave’s Killer Bread is one of my favorites. Make toast.

Spread your favorite nut butter on the toast.

Top with sliced bananas.

Garnish with a little granola and/or chopped nuts.

Seriously – this is so easy, it’s a little embarrassing calling it a recipe😉

Ingredients

  • 1 piece vegan compliant whole wheat bread
  • 2 Tablespoons natural peanut butter
  • 1/2 banana, sliced

Instructions

  • Toast the bread.
  • Spread your choice of peanut butter. I look for a natural butter with no added oil or sugar.

  • This couldn't be easier!

Notes

Contains nuts...but of course it does!
